Claudia Laos-Loo Kata Seminar

September 12th - 13th
Sacred Heart School of Halifax

Here is what will be covered over 4 x 2hr sessions:

  • strengthening, mobility, and plyometric drills to reinforce biomechanical concepts

  • shifting centre of mass through linear and multi-plane movements

  • understanding the biomechanics of the midline

  • Linear force transfer, rotational force, and speed

  • elastic and ballistic movements

  • contraction and expansion in techniques and transitions

The final session would serve as a review of all the sessions and application of what we learned into group Kata practice.

I absolutely believe that training these biomechanical concepts through the drills we do in this seminar will improve our Kata and Kumite by understanding and optimizing how we use our bodies!
